Grandpa Nelson Reed Kerr aka Pater. You are one of the two best grandpas I could ever be blessed with. You've always believed in me in anything I wanted to do in my goals. You gave me a book for graduation:you graduated, now what? That is a great question. Now what do I do with my life.Well,at the time I was so overweight. My goal was I don't want to die I want to take care of myself. You believed I could do it which gave me a push and drive to push myself to reach that goal. With God and you and my family,I've accomplished it. What next,I was not going to let that be it.I have a stronger body and healthy, what can I do now that I could not before.I've trained and accomplished my races with my mom. What else could I do? I decided,I want to join the Military.YOU supported me from day 1 to your last day and now in heaven.I WILL NOT let you down.I've made that a goal and a dream and when I go to tutoring and study I think of you. God and Jesus and you give me that hope and drive.I've struggled but I know I can do it.Pater I miss you and love you and you're not gone. You are with me I hope to be with you soon God willing that he brings us up home with that trumpet.Till then I will remember you as always the wonderful Angel in my life. I know you'll be with me in this dream and I will accomplish this.Thank you for everything. Your service, being a wonderful father to my dad,a wonderful father in law to my mom who you've always treated as your daughter,a great grandpa, and so much more.R.I.P in the arms of the lord.I will not say goodbye,I will say,see you soon I LOVE YOU.

Dad passed away this morning 3-13-18 at 1048hrs. 81 years old and loved by many. I am going to miss my Dad dearly for the rest of my life. He was the smartest person I have ever known and he put that mind to good use throughout his life. Yet, his best decision ever was at 69 years of age. He heard the call of God and committed his life to the Lord. For that commitment his eternal reward was guaranteed and Dad today is in the presence of our Holy God. Love you Dad, miss you.
