WILLIAMSBURG – Cecilia Olivia Rigley, 77, was called home to the Lord the evening of November 24th, 2016. Mrs. Rigley was proceeded in death by her parents, Manuel Costa Lopez and Helen Josephine Kumuhone, by her brother, Simeon Kumuhone, and by her daughter, Ruth Naomi Temple. Mrs. Rigley was a Native Hawaiian and embodied the Aloha spirit. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, March 31st, 1939. She traveled the United States after leaving the islands where she met her husband of 47 years, Samuel David Rigley. She resided in Virginia after meeting her husband and has been a resident for almost 5 decades. Mrs. Rigley was retired and spent her times with family and friends; she was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking her recipes. Mrs. Rigley was called home to the Lord with family surrounding her, per her wishes. Mrs. Rigley is survived by an extensive amount of family: her husband, Dave, their daughter Samantha Canaday, and her husband Daniel Canaday, and her son Randall Banks. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Dolores Richardson, Christina Ward, Dannie, Anthony, Casey, and Dusty Wyatt, Danielle Tyree, Ryker Banks, Jordan, and Alexis Canaday. 8 great-grandchildren: Heidi, John, Dylan, Danton, O’Rien, Trace, Kaison, and Jake. 4 great great-grandchildren: Anthony, Bryanna, John-Austin, and Andrew; and an abundant amount of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services for Mrs. Rigley will be held at the Bucktrout Funeral Home, Friday, 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
