Catherine B. Weis, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in the presence of her family and just after hearing her favorite Psalm 23 recited with a tear in her eye. She is preceded in death by James B. Goin, Edwin F. Weis and her son, James R. Goin.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Beckie G. Harkins and son-in-law, William J. Harkins; her sister, Eleanor B. Carson, of Vero Beach, FL.; two grandchildren, David A. Harkins and Pamela L. Slippy, both of Coatesville, PA.; and six precious great-grandchildren. She was part of the founding congregation of Calvary United Methodist Church in Richmond, retired civil servant, her roots are in Shenandoah, VA., part of Sweet Adelines in the 50ís & 60ís and she was a successful gardener.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 18 at 10:00 AM at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at 2:30 PM in Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 1637 Williamsburg Road, Richmond, VA 23231, Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188 or the charity of your choice.
