Gifts & Memorial Donations

Boyd Merl Chamberlain, 76, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, at his home in Williamsburg, VA. His wife Janie, married for 42+ years, and son, Tyler, were by his side.

Born in Orderville, UT, he was the son of Roland and Vivin Chamberlain. Boyd graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Accounting. He went on to have a long and colorful career as a foreign service employee, living in West Africa and Argentina, and able to travel the world extensively and make a great impact.

In retirement, he continued to travel with Janie and friends – stepping foot in every continent and continuing to enjoy different peoples and cultures. He was an active member of the James City County Lions Club with a passion for ensuring everyone has access to prescription glasses. Boyd was also a devout member of his church, and his faith in the Lord prepared him for this next journey.  He will be remembered for his love of gardening, his warm conversations and deep love for his grandchildren.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Janie; and their son, Tyler (Annie); his grandkids, Olivia and Isaac, as well as his daughter, Stephanie. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother.  He was looking forward to his reunion with them again.

A celebration of life service will be held in May or June 2024.  Bucktrout Funeral Home is assisting the family.
