Barbara Ann Schwartz, 82, died September 30, 2022, with her family by her side in Williamsburg, Virginia.
At her request, no service will be held.
Mrs. Schwartz was born February 14, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Harry and Mildred Knorr.
Mrs. Schwartz was an active member of the Hiss United Methodist Church while she lived in Baltimore. She loved to read fiction, in particular mystery novels, and she volunteered her services to the Baltimore City Public School System, and then to the Parkville-Carney Branch of the Baltimore County Library, until she suffered a stroke in 2009. Mrs. Schwartz lived in Williamsburg, Virginia for her remaining years, and enjoyed the fresh air off the James and York rivers, along with the always-friendly folks of the Colonial area.
She is survived by her son, David DiStefano, and her two grandchildren, Paige Susan Nahlin DiStefano, a freshman at Wake Forest University, and Samuel Robert DiStefano, who is in 11th grade at Westtown School of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Schwartz, Jr, along with her two brothers, Peter Knorr, and Richard (Dick) Knorr, along with her sister, Kathleen Jung. She will rest with David at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, in Parkville, Maryland.
