Andy Hungerman, loving father and grandfather, caring husband and

devoted community leader, passed away on Tuesday morning. Andy was

born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 19, 1941 to Kathryn and AJ

Hungerman II. Andy grew up on the North Side and became a police

officer in Allegheny County. After working at Carlow College, he

became treasurer of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and later

moved to VA to become VP of Operations for Colonial Williamsburg.

After retiring from CW, he later became executive director of public

housing at WRHA. A man of faith, he felt blessed in life and loved

being with and helping other people. Andy leaves behind his wife,

three sons, two grandchildren and a legacy of kindness and service.

Andyís funeral will be at Crosswalk Community Church in Norge at 1:00

PM on Saturday, October 13th. His family will host a reception at the

Triangle Building at 601 Prince George St. starting at 2:30 PM.

    I worked with Andy for many years at the Carnegie Museums in Pittsburgh. He was a wonderful human being with a great heart, a zest for life, and a strong commitment to service to others. He left his imprint on many lives. My condolences to his family on such a big loss.
