She and her husband Frank were often an unbeatable team and she played extremely well even in her last days. She hosted pinochle games at home as well as family picnics on the farm. Her appetite for books was ravenous often reading several books a day. Alfina loved to travel, and over the years she took several trips to Italy where she visited family, as well as trips to Switzerland, Ireland, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
