    Bret and Robin Campbell says:
Mr. Forssell was the Greatest Scoutmaster ever! He led us boys with his leadership, energy, knowledge and enthusiasm, and we are all better people for having been a member of Troop 643. I was able to become an Eagle Scout under Mr. Forssell's guidance, and I appreciate greatly his unselfish dedication to Scouting and to each one of us. I'll always remember his cheery "Rise & shine, Up and at 'em" greeting on those many camp-out mornings. My life was truly enriched by having known Mr. Forssell. My deepest sympathy to Eric and to Mr. Forssell's entire family. Bret Campbell

CDR Kevin Newmeyer, USN (ret) says:
I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Forssell during my career in the Navy. He was one of my oral examiners for my Engineer's Exam and we discussed the pressurizer on CGN-40 and our progress through a COH. A few years later he was part of our RSE's on Enterprise as we worked through the refueling. It was a pleasure to get to know him better when I was the surface officer in the Linelocker. I enjoyed helping to plan his retirement dinner and getting the flag flown over all of the surface nuclear powered warships.

    Phyllis Belden says:
When we had a musical event in the Grand Hall at Patriots Colony, I always looked for Alan and Betty Rose. Alan did not miss a concert, and beamed through the whole program. I liked to talk with him afterwards, for his comments. Sometimes I saw Al and Betty Rose walking outside, and enjoyed stopping to chat. I will miss seeing Alan's smiling face, and happy demeanour at Patriots Colony

    Bill and Nancy Calvert says:
Nancy and my hearts and prayers go out to the entire Forssell family. During the short time we knew Alan through church, he touched us with his passion, caring, volunteerism and Christian approach to life. It was an honor to know him and worship with our brother in Christ.
