Gifts & Memorial Donations

Stephen Dean Loughrey, 56, of Lanexa, went to be with his Lord, on January 26, 2018.

Stephen was an amazing artist and children’s book author. When he wasn’t following his dreams of being an author, he took life slow and loved fishing, camping, visiting amusement parks, hanging out with his family around a bonfire and having fun with his buddies on the water and golf courses.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, TR and Margaret Triplett and Fred and Viola Loughrey. Stephen leaves behind his mother, Charlotte Pope; father, Jerry Loughrey;  son, Matthew (Dawn) Trammel; daughters Stephanie (Brian) Otey, and Tiffany (Brandon) Loughrey; sister, Nadine (John) Johnston; 7 grandchildren; and many aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends; the hole in their heart will always have a void now that he is gone.

The family and friends of Stephen kindly request monetary contributions be made to forever honor his legacy and help support his family through these difficult times at www.tmcfunding.com.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 5:00pm at Christ Community Church, 9001 Richmond Road, Toano VA, 23168.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life. Checks may be made out to the American Cancer Society and mailed to P.O. Box 179 Lightfoot VA, 23090.

Steve Griffith "PAPPY WITH THE PAWPAW" says:
To my "Brother from another mother" May you rest in the most peaceful place that we are offered, but have to choose to seek his approval, you my long life friend, choose to lay there, lot of people didn't know this, your struggles, didn't bring you down. they made you achieve. You sought this approval. and I think you achieved more than you realized. Thank you Mr. Loughrey for being a friend!!! And may your "ROCK" continue to "ROLL"
