Logan Anderson

Logan Dowless Anderson is a warrior and a man of many strengths who was born on January 17th, 1999 on a cold January evening and departed this life on September 18th, 2021 on a beautiful sunny day. Logan was a 2017 graduate of Warhill High School where he excelled in football, lacrosse, and weight training. In his younger years, he was very passionate about skateboarding and BMX. He loved his music and played the drums from 5th grade to 9th grade. He even professed to his mom and sister that “one day I’ll be a country music singer just like [his] Pop.” He was currently employed with R.E. White Inc. where he learned numerous trade skills that taught him many things. He even constructed his own pull-up bar in his backyard. Logan was an advocate for fitness and health and for many years he was a CrossFit trainer. He was a member at Liberty @ York River Church where he rededicated his life to Christ on February 2nd, 2020.

He volunteered for several years with Community of Faith Outreach serving and feeding the homeless. Logan never knew a stranger and he never shied away from a challenge. He was always willing to help others and give his famous “philosophical” advice. He had a passion and a respect for firearms taught to him early by his Dad. He even constructed his own advanced shooting barricade. Logan could make anything “tactical” with a few cans of spray paint. Logan had a contagious smile and was the life of the party. He was a gracious and giving helper in time of need. He was a protector of his Mother. He was a defender of Alyson and Luke but an instigator of much. He enjoyed hanging out in the garage and at the fire pit with all of his friends and family.
He loved God, his family, his dog Jake, his friends, and his country. His respect for his flag and his country were boundless. He even erected a large flagpole in his yard to surprise his dad, a veteran of the U.S Army. Known now as “Tatertot”, He was a member of the 757 chapter of the Moose Lodge where he served as the Sergeant at Arms for the Moose Riders. He loved and respected his motorcycle taking the time to learn “the right way” to ride and safety came first for him. He graciously wanted to donate anything he could at his time of death to those in need. His beautiful brown eyes will help someone to see this world the way he saw this world.

He is survived by his parents; Robert and Suzanne, his sister, Alyson, and his twin brother, Luke. He is also survived by his grandparents; Carolyn Pugh, Jean and Bobby Elkins, and Bob and Angie Anderson, in addition to uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many special friends — too many friends to list, but they know who they are. He was predeceased by grandparents; Shirley Pugh and Charles Milton Pugh, Sr. as well as great-grandparents and many friends.

No words will ever describe how much you will be missed but he will live on in all of the wonderful memories of his family and amazing friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25th at Liberty @ York River Church (8201 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, VA, 23188) at 1:30 PM with a visitation prior at 12:45 PM. Logan will take with him his Father’s American flag that he carried in Iraq and Afghanistan. He went out “with his boots on” and with that “Logan smirk” on his face. Logan, “get you some”.
