Donald “Don” Hower, 73, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021 in Williamsburg Va.

Born in Mt. Union Pennsylvania. His love for cooking started very early as did his entrepreneurial spirit when he owned and operated a pizza/sub shop. At 19 he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Langley Air Force Base. It was there he met and married the love of his life Doris. After 22 years in the Air Force he semi-retired and worked for Riverside Heath Systems for another 15 years. His love of cooking continued later in life when he and Doris opened up a Bed and Breakfast. He always enjoyed preparing a delicious breakfast for the guests to start their day.

He is survived by his loving wife Doris, a sister in law Kitty Hudgins, brother in law Wayne Fretwell, all of Williamsburg, VA; a brother Fred Hower and wife Nancy of Wrightsville, PA; sisters Pat Bunger from Edgewood, Maryland; Nancy Fackler and husband Eddie of Mt. Joy, PA; nieces Kimberly Brandt and her husband Darryl of Conestoga, PA; Pam Cooper and husband Jeff from Elizabethtown, PA; Kimberly Fretwell of Valrico, FL; Mary “Sissy” Hayes and her partner Jonathan McLaughlin of Lynchburg, Va; nephews Clyde Thomas “Bunji” Fretwell III and wife Christina of Brandon, FL; Scott and Deb Hower of York, PA; His beloved doggies Maggie and Lulu.

He was a beloved husband, brother, brother in law and Uncle.
He will forever be missed by all of us.
